I am a Software Engineer working in an MNC in Kolkata, West Bengal. Few days back, in an occassion of leave I was travelling to Digha driving my own car. Suddenly, a police officer stopped me near Tamluk and the policeman took my car registration card (blue book) and driving license and told me that I have caught you. Then I asked him I am not understanding your point. Then he told that I have caught you for election duty, you have to go for election duty and you have to come to Tamluk PS on 5th May at 06:00 hrs and you will get release on 8th May.
I told how can I come for duty Sir? I am a Software Engineer, I am not a proffessional driver, I am going for enjoyment for few days. Please allow me to go my destination. The police man had not listened my words. He prepared the document and told me to sign on the document. What can I do at that time? I signed on that document and the police man assigned me the car driving duty of election which is not possible for me at all. If i send the car with a proffessional driver, then also I won't get that much money from election commission.
I just want to ask that have we got freedom? India is still on imprisonment. All Indians are in imprisonment.
