I joined this fitness centre which has 3 locations in Pune. The infrastructure offered is by far the best, and based on this i joined the gym by paying Rs. 4, 750 for 3 month membership (including joining fees of Rs.850) at the City Pride, Kuthrud branch. I was handed over a leaflet and an appointment was fixed with the Nutritioniost. On my 1st day on the floor there was no one to guide me as to which excersise i should be doing and thus i landed up just doing the most basic thing which is walking on the Trendmill. This unattended behaviour continued for 2 more days after which i went and complained to the receptionist and he got me in touch with one of the instructors who showed me a few excersises and left me alone. The reason why the instructors are so busy is that they give PERSONAL attention to female members of the gym and are always found around female members. On the 3rd day i had an appointment with the nutritionist at 7.30pm for which i went directly from my office, which is very far from the gym and i was told that the appointment was cancelled, i had to go home and again come to the gym for a so called workout. I was told that we have called 95% of the members and you were in the 5% that we did not call. For the next couple of days i was actually doing all wrong excersices which could cause serious long term injuries to my body as there was no one to attend to me. All that i was asking that some one should show me my excersices atleast ONCE the next time just have a look if i'm doing it right and the thrid time i don't need any of these instructors, they can then continue with the female members.
I was never informed that there is someone called Mr. Prashant who is the programer with whom i have to sit and discuss my training schedule and follow the same, this was something which i found out from one of the members. I made my schedule with Mr. Prashant who also assured me that i will get guidance from the instructors etc. but the next day i was back to square one, all by myself doing excersises which i am not sure if they are proper and could cause injuries.
I filled up a feedback form and handed over to the sales executive which he said will be forwarded to the manager and he would contact me and speak to me. Its been 6 days and no one has contacted me. When i asked for the conserned person's contact number i was refused the same and was asked to come and visit him as per his timings which no one is sure of.
The reason by i am taking this seriously is that, this could harm me health, the outcome of which may not be visible in the short term but over a period of time any wrong excercises would start showing their reactions.
This entire issue has actually caused me a lot of pain and i gone the gym and returned home without any workout. Almost a month of my membership has been wasted on this issue. I would request the legal experts to kindly guide me on the same.
