This is to confirm about consumer right to choice. We purchased readymade dress on 24th Oct '09. Shop keeper mentioed it is free size. We went by his words and we could not check the fittings due to time constraint. On checking it to be tight, the very next day on 25th Oct '09, we approached the shop for exchange. The dress was kept in good condition. We have the bill too.
Shop owner says he is running the shop from past 40 yrs with condition of "No Exchange". So it was our mistake not reading the small board of "No Exchange". We tried to explain how wasteful the dress for us and requested for alternative measurement. We referred exchange policy maintained in most shops. But he was rude in his approach and said that he do not wish to waste his time listening to us.
Pls explain us how much consumer has right regarding good exchange/non usability due to shop' greedy policies.
