I request your good office’s earnest and stern action on the above establishment; M/s.G.E. Money Financial Services Ltd., having its Registered Office at 401 – 402 Aggarwal Millennium Tower, E – 1, 2, & 3 Netaji Subhash Place, Pitampura, New Delhi 110034, and to resolve my grievances at the earliest.
a. The captioned Cash card was issued at the continuous persuasion of their Telemarketing Executives, offering life long free charges, and without any type of hidden cost, except the interest for the financial assistance on actual usage. It was offered as a reward of my prompt repayment of a Consumer loan from GE Financial Services Ltd.
b. Contrary to the assured benefits, G.E. Money started charging monthly charges towards Personal Accident Insurance, Credit Shield Charges, Annual Service Charges and Service tax thereon etc., against which my protest was duly been conveyed through their Customer Care Nos. and assured discontinuance of the same, but never been implemented.
c. Due to non receipt of the regular statements from G.E. Money Financial Services (I feel it is an absolute necessity for a borrower/customer and mandatory for the financier/service provider to verify the authenticity of charges) I used to sent a lump sum payments exceeding the MINIMUM DUE AMOUNT before the due date.
d. On many occasions the payments cited above through Cheques were not presented to my bank on time, some of them were not even accounted by their office, though it was cleared from my bank. This type of malpractices resulted with burden of late payment charges, additional interest, interest even on the sum already been paid, service tax etc.
e. Fed up with the inefficient and unprofessional attitude of the officials of the G.E. Money Financial Services, I cancelled the Card on 19th February at my end by cutting it into pieces and returned the company with a request to give an up to date statement to facilitate the closure of account by making full and final payment.
f. Even After my constant and repeated requests, the statement (s) were not made available till 22nd June. On 22nd June I got a duplicate statement with total due of Rs. 17, 236.34 (Rupees Seventeen thousand two hundred thirty six and paise thirty four only) with payment due date of 04th July wherein the following discrepancies were noticed.
i. Two interim payments vide cheque 204932 of Standard Chartered Bank, New Friends Colony, New Delhi and a cheque No: 081563 dated 27th May drawn on Bank of India, Chittranjan Park, New Delhi were not reflected. It was immediately brought in to their knowledge and I was informed that these cheques were not received at their office.
ii. Debits towards Credit Shield Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance Premiums etc. are still charging to my account despite of my protest, which were I was protesting from the beginning itself.
In order to get rid of the nuisance and embarrassment of G.E. Money Financial Services, I made a payment of Rs. 17, 096.00 (Rupees Seventeen thousand and ninety six only) on 22nd June as full and final of the account after adjusting the Credit Shield and Personal Accident Insurance premium charges. It was specifically confirmed by their Executive one Mr. Vikas Mehra, by accepting my cheque having No: 081570 drawn on Bank of India, Chittranjan Park, New Delhi, vide acknowledgement Receipt No: ZDEL082342 Dtd. 22.06. (total outstanding as per statement Rs. 17, 236.00 less reversal of Insurance Chares Rs. 140.00, balance Rs. 17, 096.00) and instruction letter of even date. (copies of the same were also been submitted to their office and confirmed over phone).
The Cheque was subsequently cleared from my bank on 27th June well before the actual due date.
It was also specifically informed and instructed NOT TO PRESENT to my banks, the two interim cheques that were reported not received by G.E. Money Financial Services.
Inspite of the full and final payment of the more the legitimate dues and specific instructions G.E. Money Financial Services made a fruitless effort on 04th July to encash the cheque 081563 dated 27th May of Rs. 4, 632.00 that were reported not received at their office, which is an act of absolute Breach of Trust.
Non realization of the said cheque was due to my preventive step of giving STOP PAYMENT instruction to my bank sensing malpractices anticipated from G.E. Money Financial Services and as heard of from others.
On failure of the deliberate intention to encash the said cheque, they debited Cheque return charges, interest and additional charges for non payment of the same etc., since then. It was also been objected and requesting constantly to rectify their records and on 13th March it was confirmed thru an email of one Mr. Poly Roy, Customer Care Executive that the Card has been closed on 03rd August.
Even after that also, I am getting embarrassing, threatening and untimely calls which trespass the privacy, comfort and peace of life; some times I may got agitated to such unprofessional and indecent approach.
In the meantime I got l two Legal Notices from their Consuls: M/s. Jus-Juris, I -8, Jangpura Extn., New Delhi vide their notice dated 03rd May and Ms/ Virtuous People, 1910/143 Tri nagar, Delhi 110035 notice dtd. 14th July. Both notices were properly replied with all relevant supporting documents and giving facts and truth. Both their consuls were duly been satisfied with my proper response and no further reply been received.
Still I am pursuing the matter to close the issue by rectifying their mistake and requested not to disturb my peace of mind by making embarrassing and threatening calls, but without a permanent and positive action at their end.
I seek your good office’s service and action to restrain them from such nefarious actions, resolve and close the issue permanently.
