I have a Godrej Pentacool fridge, which I bought some two years ago, and it is still within the warranty period. Five days ago, it suddenly stopped working, so we immediately called the service centre. They responded very politely and sent a man to look at the problem the next morning. He said the compressor had stopped working. He asked for Rs. 1830 and then left, telling us they would fix the problem once they obtained a compressor. We made a dozen calls to the service centre over the next several days to ask then to send the man back to install the compressor. Each time the service centre personnel responded very politely and made sincere promises, assuring us that the compressor would be fitted in within a matter of hours. Nothing happened. We are still without the compressor and still waiting for help. I have to say this is one of the most frustrating experiences I have faced in recent days. It is quite unbelievable that a company of this repute can treat its customers so shoddily. I strongly recommend prospective buyers to stay away from Godrej.
