Late payment charges

As per the payment instructions I had droped a cheque of Rs 2224/- in your drop box situated at your branch in sector 10 panchkula on 29-6-08 against the minmum payment of the first statment.

the details of the cheque is No 168377 of HDFC Bank sector 20 panchkula datede29.6.08.

AS the cheque did clear after five days I called the customer care and enquired the situation. when it did not clear after 10 days I started contacting ths customer care for locating the cheque for presentinfg in my bank for clearing

On 9.7.08 when I contacted for the above reason I was surprised to know that my card has been blocked for non payment and I was instructed that to pay Rs 4658/- to resume the card.

I had no choice but to pay . hence I remitted online from your bank Rs 4700 to my credit card account on 11.7.08 This I did to aviod late payment charges and other levies before the bill is genarated.

I have recieved today in my mail the latest bill and was shocked te see that all axtra charges were levied. I would like to state here that though I made an earnest attemp in trying to clear the cheque but all went in vain as there no proper cordination in this case to locate the cheque (why sshould I suffer fir this) which would saved all my effortes ultimatly I have given a stop paayment requist to my bank for the above said cheque.

Under above fact I dont see any reason the I have to be panalised by leving aLL extra charges. Hrnce please consider to waive all extra charges. I would be greatful if you confirm me you action on my mail ID.
