I had raised house loan from Bank of Punjab vide LAN no. 35LA1474463 before its merger with Centurion Bank and before HDFC bank's taking over the Centurion Bank of Punjab. Today I approached the Bank to get certificates for the the financial years 08 and 09 for getting IT rebate from my instiution. The dealing official, Ritu, however, told me that I would have to deposit Rs 300 for getting the same. I just fail to understand what is my fault if Bank of Punjab from whom I had raised House loan has merged into HDFC Bank. Why I am beiung penalised for none of my faults. I will be lft with no option than to take legal help if my grievance is not redressed.
