I have a bike- hero honda splendour of 98 modelof Registration No. RJ 27 6M 4020. I went to N.K. Kusumgar, Nagpur showroom for servicing my bike about 15 days ago. The Manager Mr. Ratnakar told that there is a problem of engine, piston & piston rings. I asked him the estimate but he said that the detail estimate would be finalized only after opening of engine. I also made an enquiry about the changing/ repair of crank. But he said that presently the mechanic is outside & the engine will be opened infront of me to finalise the estimate & accordingly I will be informed. But the manager neither informed me that my bike 's engine is going to be opened & That I should be present in that occassion. When I & my brother Mr. Nitin Khobragade went to him for details of estimate the engine was opened & including all engine spare parts & labour along with accessories the estimate was made of Rs. 8000/- in which he assured that there will be spare parts and labour discount & hence the estimate may come about 7000/.On 7th feb we went to showroom & enquired about the bike, the bike was ready for delivery with a huge estimate of Rs.11725/ -. We were surprised to see the over budget & made enquiry why there was huge budget? In his reply he said that he tried to make the bike nice now it ready. If this is huge budget you could have first think over it.
I am not knowing that when the same bike outside the showroom made, it costs less & why showroom like Kusumgar -the well known name in Nagpur, Maharashtra is leving excessive charges on customers & looting the people and harassing customers. Why the rough estimate of Rs.7000/- became 11725/-? And for payment I requested cheque payment& advance cheque But the manager refused. What should I do? Shall I file a suite in consumer court?
