Their authorised service center has not been able to repair only two year printer even after three months on want of a spare part

Dear freinds,

If these guys can not supply the spare part why they dupe people with their junk printers?

Don't buy Hewlett Packard HP printers. They bring out new printers as often I sneez in winter. These guys are so fast with new printers that they forget to support only two three year printers.

By tail of woes is that I have given my printer my repair to HP authorized service center in Bhopal - Friends :(Computer Consultancy, MP Nagar, Zone I, Bhopal - vide their challan number 723 dated 2/9/07 and till today they have not repaired the printer nor offered to return it to me.

When I call then the guys in office say that they are waiting for Scanner Assembly part that is going to cost me Rs. 6500/- They could not get this part in three months. I am afraid that I will never see my printer working again.

Three month are taken from a class A city in India to source an HP part. Is HP sourcing their products from a space station or moon? Hope next NASA flight comes soon :(

I feel so bad that I feel there be a way to tackle these guys. We can't buy a new printer evry two year. This throw away culture should belong to where it comes from.

When I called the owner of the repair center he was too busy with some thing and advised to call me in the next morning. When I called they parroted their usual reply that spare part is awaited.

Guys if you can't supply spare parts within two years and are not responsible for customer satisfaction then don't sell your stupid printers.

I hope you will publish my experience in bold so that other people are forewarned of miseries they may face at hands of such people.

On top of it I have sent a very agrieved email to HP India though their official website but it seems if fall on deaf years or these teeth are just ornamental as I received not even an acknowledgment, foolish to think of resolution of problem by them.

As the printer is out of warranty of onle year I do not know how to address my grivance to appropriate consumer forum. I hope you will guide me about it.

Meanwhile, I will continue to hope that the printer shall be returned intact to me with or without repair.

HP salesmen are warned not to approach me for selling their products. Also HP, please take my name from all your international mailing lists.
