This is to inform you that, am holding HSBC Credit Card (4476 9212 0254 7695) for more than 3 years and payment track record is on time regularly. In the month of August i have dropped the cheque for Rs.247/- which was due on 28th of August, well in advance before due date. But the same was not cleared till 10th of september. In between i issued fresh cheque of Rs.250/- as the old one was not cleared. Received the next statement in the month of September including late payment charges. When i have spoken to customer care and explaining the whole issue they have agreed to reverse the late payment charges. The due date for the balance amount is 29th Sep 09. Last month i was suffered from viral fever. that is the reason i could not able to make payment on time and i have received call from customer care for the same. i have requested them to arrange an agent for cheque pickup for the total outstanding. The same was done on 2nd Oct. and cheque got realised on 3rd oct. To my surprise recently i have received a message stating that i need to make the payment of Rs.878/- which includes late payment and financial charges for the delay of payment just for 3 days. Today (19th oct) i have spoken to customer care, they said they cant reverse the late payment and financial charges at any cost i need to make payment of the same.
