I have been facing severe harassment by HSBC agents from the no 01145541744 even aftyer card closure.
After settling around 70k in 2007 end for various transactions, 3k was left which was a diputed amount.
Even the 70k paid included interest charges which were incurred because a draft was cancelled and resolving the issue took so much time.
I tried my best to resolve the 3k disputed amount with no avail and continous harrasment by agents - Mohit, Syed, Naveen.
Sudenly got a call in aug to pay 2k and settle the bill. I didi but there was no issuance of closure letter even aftyer repeated requests.
Again Jan'09 they called up and agreed to close the account on payment of 3k more. The reference NO of the letter - FFSCPDHYDWOFF23012009DCSINFOVISION344.
Having been releived that the case has ended after paying 5k for a 3k disputed amount after 1.5 yrs, I was in for a rude shock when these guys called up again in april and demanded 7k.
Reminders that I had closed the account with these very people had no effect and the abuses continued.
I called up hyderabad branch and the customer care confirmed the account has been closed with no pending bills. Complaint no -090420096960.
Its shocking that the govt of India allows such malpractices to happen and there is no proper grievance cell which you can approach without hassles and demand justice.
MY EXPERIENCE - HSBC IS BY FAR THE WORST OF ALL BANKS WITH INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES ANBD A CORRUPT COLELCTIONS DEPT.
Post this experience, I advise each one of my friends never to have anything to do with this bank and stay away from it. If there's a dispute in any of the payments, you are in for a trial for the rest of your life.
