I had a credit card from HSBC and in the month of Nov/ Dec they made a mistake in the billing and even on my informing them several times they never corrected the bill amount. I did not pay the bill for that reason and now I have a negative credit rating at cibil because of which I am not able to apply for any other credit card.
HSBC customer care dont know how to handle this case and have given me some number 080-66432110 which no one picks ever. There was some person (Kiran Bopaiah) who visited me to collect the bill amount (the incorrect bill amount without any late fee) to close the credit card but never showed up again. I have his number but no one picks the phone. Good thing is he sent me an excel sheet of all my spendings and if I add it up, the amount I get is less than the bill amount for Jan. So there was clearly some mistake.
I have the copies of all the emails I have sent to the HSBC to settle this problem, but they just apologized for the delay and said it will be resolved asap. This is in addition to the long time I have spent waiting for the customer care people on phone.
