HSBC Credit Card
Irregularities in the Credit Card Statement

Sir, I have been getting myself and my family covered by the TATA AIG for the last several years. As the TATA AIG has some arrangements with HSBC Credit Card, all my payments were done through the HSBC. I have on 22nd December covered myself and my family under the "Healthcare Policy" of TATA AIG for a yearly preimum of Rs.8, 890/-. This amount was debited to my credit card account with HSBC on 22nd December and on 29th December this policy was cancelled. TATA AIG refunded the entire amount of Rs, .8, 890/- and this was credited to my credit card account on 1st January. Therefore there is no due payable by me for the above policy.

However on 21st January HSBC claimed an amount of Rs, 740.75 towards the 1st instalment of 12 instalments as EMI for the above. As I was not getting the credit card statements regularly I thought the policy was not cancelled and I continued to pay the EMI till September. Incidentally when I was talking to the officer of TATA AIG on some new prodcuts I was shocked to understand that the "Health Care Policy" was cancelled within seven days and credit in this regards was given to the HSBC.

After that I started sending mails to the Nodal Officer, HSBC credit card division from September onwards. So far I have sent more than twenty mails and requested them to refund the EMIs collected from me since January. HSBC agreed to the mistake committed by them but informed that they cannot refund the EMI as per their policy.

Anyway I am fighting for the justice. In the meantime I was shocked see the Credit Card statments wherein they have reversed all the latefee charges on one hand and added as payable. It is difficult to understand their statements.

I want to inform all the people who uses the HSBC Credit Card that please check all your entries and verify the fact. Do not totally trust the Bank as I have been doing for so many years. This is a great lesson I have learned.

I am also getting forty to fifty call from 9.00 am onwards from the call centre with lot of threatenings.

Please AWAKE, DO NOT FALL ON THE TRAPS OF THESE BANKS.
