Credit card bill

HI,

1 year back i went to bank to pay the bill at that time they told no need to pay the late

fee so by reducing the late fees they had give the amount which is like 19, 000/- some change i paid the bill after that i never used the credit card. I made the credit card into pieces.but now i got the bill to pay like 4476/-.I talked to customer care they said that late fees u didn't pay so that was added but the bank people pnly told no need to pay this just pay 19, 000/- it will be enough.now its became a headache for me.please help me.
