Finanace charges applied & clearing of cheques not done

I Have a HSBC Credit card and I received a statement for total amount due of Rs 42299 on November 5th, The peyment due date was on 27th November, I dropped 3 cheques, 2 cheques Rs 31000 & Rs.10000 respectively on 19th and 3rd cheque og 1500 on 24th November. The 3rd cheque was not cleared in time and a finance charge of over 2000 rupess was applied on my account, On questioning, the customer care stated due to system upgradation it was cleared late. Also I was made to wait on the line for 55 minutes and the call was transferred to various depts without any proper response.
