I closed my bank account # 024-1009500-006 with HSBC by visiting their branch at Ultadanga and surrendered my debit card. The officer told me that the remaining amount in my account will be sent to my address by mail.
When I did not get the money after 1 month, I contacted them by mail ([email protected]). I was told that my credit cards were linked with the savings account. Hence the account could not be closed. I again contacted the Phone Banking officers and delinked my credit cards from the savings account. After this also nothing happened. Now the Phone Banking officers are telling me to visit the branch and close the account.
Please help.
