HTC internal screen crack when switched on for the first time

Hi,

I have purchased a HTC cellphone on 16th Jan but did not switched on the phone in the shop (As I was gifting to my wife and wanted her to switch on.)

I have switched on at home and saw that the internal screen has cracked.

I went for replacement but not got any proper reply from them

There is not external damage. Please help me. What I need to do.?
