NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Dear Sir,

This is to bring in your kind attention that I am holding ICICI savings bank accoun (No.-018701506343, Customer ID - 503740480) at 36, Chowringhee Road, Kolkata-700071, for last 4-5 years.

I had issued a cheque to ABN AMRO BANK vide Cheque No.-273661 for amount Rs. 915.24, dated 19.08.08 for my credit card account but the cheque got returned and when I called up the customer care center, I just came to know that for a slightest mistake (I have over write one numerics-5 on thecheque and didn, t make counter signature for that) my cheque got returned and they have debited Rs.56.00 from my savings account.

I have no complaint against what they have done but I do have complain regarding the customer service.

At the time of registration, we have to provide our all the contact details to bank but at the time of requirement the bank don't provide any support to us, especially when a cheque gets bounced (it may be of many reasons) I believe that it should be their moral resposibility towards the customer regarding the matter before taking any further steps and to get the customer concern & confirmation instead they just do the opposite and don't bother to inform the customer for anything rather they enjoy in harrassing the customer and exactly what ICICI BAnk did with me. They didn't inform me anything regarding the cheque returned & simultaneously deducted Rs.56.00 from my account.

I don't mind for the amount got deducted but I did mind about the impression they have forced me to left at the ABN AMRO BANK and they have also charged Rs.500.00 as late payment charges, if my bank had informed regarding any problems about the cheque before returning then I wouldn't have incurred so many charges and I hold ICICI BANK resposible for all these.

I want justice from you -

1) Customer Care means for the customer, by the customer & of the customer then why they will chase /haunt a customer for the payment only and why shall not assist for their problems??

2) If they are not acting for the customers and only looking after the benefits of their company then why should they keep/write Customer Care Cell??

3) Why not R.B.I forced all the banks to provide any information to customer before dealings with their accounts??
