No Proper Process in Place

Hi,

I have raised a service request to ICICI Credit Cards department through Customer Care (Call) on 2nd September. The request was to update my Permanent Address in their database. They informed me that request will be processed 9 working days. Having no update on the service request I raised, I called up customer care and came to know that my service request was rejected with following comments: "The customer is not available at the given address for updating." I have explained them that the address given for updating is correct and the latest. I have been staying there for more than an year. They inturn informed me that Verification Department has done back ground check for this. The other call center executive said, I have not authorized to change the address. But, that is not the case. None of the ICICI executives/ third party members have come to my home and enquired about me. None of them called me for cross checking.

My questions to ICICI are:

1) How can they close the SR without informing a customer that I am not available?

2) When did the verification team come to my home? Did they go to old address?

3) How many days should I wait for address to be changed?

4) Can they pay me any penality for not processing the request properly? (They do charge late fee, service fee, tax if we have delayed credit card payment even for a half day).

5) What is the authorization that they are expecting from me when request itself was raised by me?
