Provision of wheel chair at nizzamudin railway station

Sir,

I am col gd rampal retd. I am travelling by Durranto Express from

Nizammudin to pune on 16 N0v 09 by ac 1st class with my wife. PNR ticket no is 2400122755.She needs specialised treatment at command hospital, Pune. She is 78 yrs old and I am 81 yrs old. I requested for a wheel chair on the day of travel and I have been told that I should visit the railway stn physically for booking the wheel chair.

Sir, at this age and the traffic jam of Delhi, is it possible for an old man to visit the railway stn for such a small job.

The following mail was sent to [email protected] on 12 Nov at 8.05 pm:-

I contacted tel no 139 today morning. I was told that I will have to visit the rly station to book the wheel chair. Please realise the traffic/distances in Delhi. I am 81 years old. I dont have any helping hand in my house. How do you expect me to visit the rly station. I am compelled to travel in AC 1st class due to my age and sickness of my wife. So please inform the rly staff to arrange booking of wheel chair on phone.

I request you to issue instructions to the Supdt, Nizamudin Ry Stn to make arrangements for the wheel chair on 16 Nov 09 at 1000 hrs approx to carry my wife to the compartment.
