I bought a WM 7 Kg digital through CSD. I maade payment on 03 Apr 09 and finally it was delivered in a company pack on 07 Apr 09 (04th day). On same day one Mr. Satender came to install the machine. ON opening the packing I found that there was a gap (a gaping gap) between the front panel and the body of the machine., When I asked teh techinician to note down the defect he refused to do so. I had immediately called up the customer care of IFB and they gace me the cell number of Mr. Burman, the area service manager..when I spoke to him, he initially agreed to change the machine but when nothing happened till 08 Apr I again spoke to him. He advised that he will have the front panel changed. The front panel was changed by same Satender on 12 Apr 09 but the gap still exists. There appears to be a manufacturing defect. I once again lodged a complain with the Customer care on 13 Apr 09 vide complaint number 291997. On 13 Apr 09 I received a call from the service agency and they informed me that there is no defect in the washing machine.
I am aghast to see the post sales attitude of the IFB service team. First of all they have supplied me with a defective piece and now they say that there is no defect. I am sure they are supplying defective goods to the buyers of armed forces. If these people do not replace my WM with a defect free piece, I shall be constraint to go to the consumer court and claim for even the harassement being faced by me.
