Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited
No tickets booked but fare debited

Dear Sir/madam,

On the 25th Feb I made a payment for booking 2 (two) i-tickets in AC 3 tier from Mumbai CST to Hyderabad on www.irctc.co.in

The booking was for 12-Mar-08.

I made a payment of Rs.1684/- from my State Bank of India ATM cum Debit card and the same was debited promptly from my SBI account. But to my horror, I saw some error message on the screen instead of confirmation of booking.

I then went to the ‘booked tickets’ section to check if the two tickets get reflected there, but I saw that they were not booked.

The only reference I have therefore is the following :

POS PRCH 6220180310900013221 805648287902 2001

My effort is to find out what '805648287902' means as the number before that is my atm cum debit card number. I hope I can get a reference to railways for the debit so as to proceed with the matter further.
