I am a senior citizen and bought a tatkal ticket on 24-07-09 to travel on 25-07-09 along with my wife in Train No.2806 vide PNR 134-2282170 in Ac. Chair Car C2 seat numbers 6 and 7. Cockroaches were freely moving across the passengers, waterpipe in the westernmodel W/C broken and water was not flushing into the pot, and the doorcloser to the AC Chair Car Coach was not functioning. Some passengers were smoking at the door of the coach smoke was coming insdie the compartment. The conductor came and I asked for the complaint book but he said that the complaint book was with the guard. When I pointed out these to him he expressed his inability. Throughout the journey from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam we experienced lot of inconvenience despite having bought a ticket by paying Rs.300/- extra for Tatkal for sitting in the AC Chair car.
Railways should make available the complaint book in each coach and it should be handed over for registering the lapses on demand and a note to the affect that complaint book is available should be displayed in each bay of the coach. I request for a suitable compensation to me for this inconvenince caused to me by the railways. My phone number 9246500022.
