I was to travel onboard to Hubli by the Chennai-Hubli Express from Krishnarajapuram Railway Station at 7.20pm on 6/4. I was accompanied by my spouse and my 6months old kid.By my watch, as the scheduled time of arrival of the train approached near, there was a sudden blackout at the platform and everything came to a standstill. Then one train arrived on the platform and there was total chaos on the platform. So trying to get in whereas others trying to identify the train. It was a total stampede situation. The stoppage of the train at this station was just 2 mins. I was unable to read the train details, finally with the assistance of the mobile torch I came to know that it was the same train, i was supposed to travel. In the whole episode, I misplaced one of my baggage.
On lodging a complaint with the TC and subsequently with the station master (on a later date), i was surprised to know that it was a regular phenomen. They have no generators nor any other backup facilities available at the staion. They just mentioned this and kept mum.
I wish that the railways understood this basic essential of a railway station and provide this basic facility to its passengers.
