Beware of Jayabharat Hyundai Mumbai
If you buy a brand new car worth 9.5 lakhs and send it for a routine second servicing to the dealer, what would you expect? Well, a car back at home by evening isn’t it? NO, if you deal with this dealer! I want to share how Jayabharat Hyundai deals with its customers.
I sent my Verna CRDi Sx for a second free service on a Saturday. Second free service on this Saturday to Jaybharat
Hyundai, prabhadevi, Mumbai.. I was told that a rat had
Eaten up the fuel pipe and the car will be delivered
On Monday since the work involved fuel tank.
I got a call on Monday saying that the said part was
Not available anywhere in Mumbai and was ordered from
Madras, so car will be ready on Tuesday i.e. today. I
Called up at 2PM to find out what was happening and I
Was told " my lunch time just got over and my manager
Will give me the part now so you will get the car at
6PM". I then got a call at 530 PM saying that the part
Was not the one which was ordered! And the car will be
Delivered tomorrow. I therefore demanded a replacement
Car or compensation i.e. my Taxi fare as this was not
My fault. I got another call saying that Jayabharat
Hyundai had no such policy to compensate the customer
However there was a confession to follow " sir it is
Unlikely that the car would be ready till Friday"!
I then lodged a complaint on the website which gave an automated reply saying it would take 3 working days for a response! I was given a western zone number to call if required. I called this guy and he just passed on my email to the Jayabharat lady. This lady kept telling me that there is no way they can compensate me for the delay. Meanwhile the western zone guy told me that to facilitate the delivery of my car he had instructed the workshop to remove the part from a new car and fit it to my car! When asked why this was not done earlier? The response was “they should have a new car available, no! ”. When asked why a spare part was not available in a big city like Mumbai? The response was “it is not a moving part! ”.
These guys switch parts from vehicles to cover their backside. I wonder what happens to the customer who is going to buy the next Verna. He is going to get a tampered car!
The other notable feature was that the lady at Jayabharat refused my requests to talk to her seniors and willing gave me the address when I asked whom should I sue!
The message is that if you want your car to be in safe hands AVOID Jayabharat, Mumbai
