Memory card warranty Claim

Hi

I bought a Kingmax 1GB RS MMC Memory card in chennai 6 months back assuring a lifetime warranty for it. It got corrupted while formatting it. Now when I tried to claim its warranty the shop keeper tells that it is chinese product and there is not warranty here. If they had said it the first time i would not have gone for Kingmax. I request you to provide any information on Kingmax dealer or warranty center in Chennai.
