I boarded an express KSRTC bus from Bangalore at Kempegowda Bus Stand for Mysore on 8th December at 6.00 am. As I am a senior citizen I showed the conductor my Voter Identity Card, which he would not accept and wanted only KSRTC card I explained that all that was wanted was an age proof and a Voter Identity card, driving license, passport, pan card or taluk authority was valid for KSRTC sr citizen concession. Only after a lengthy discussion and when he saw I was quite firm and definite the conductor finally issued me a concession ticket for Rs 73 instead of Rs 95 In each bus KSRTC should have a notice about the validity of age proof as some other passengers in the same bus were denied this concession KSRTC seems to be deliberately creating confusion in the minds of their own conductors who isue tickets.
