Complaint regarding admission in KV School

Respected Sirs,

I am a central Govt employee at present serving in HQ DG BSF CGO Complex, New Delhi. I am writing this letter to get your kind consideration and to get justice soon.

1. As there were some domestic reasons, my brother Mr R Unnikrishnan at present serving in 109 BSF shifted his family from home town to his serving place Madhopur in Punjab State. Sir, My brother had approached to K V School, Madhopur, Punjab for an admission in 11th class for his daughter Kumari Anjitha Krishnan who won with more than 90 % marks (A and A grade) marks in each and every subject in SSLC examination conducted by Kerala Board, where school authorities refused to give admission her as she passed from Kerala state board. So there was no option to continue her studies there. Your good self is also aware that a force personnel is bound with certain parameters to work his own like as civil people. Moreover, there was no good institution for her higher education near his serving place as it was remote area, as he was on the verge of transfer from Punjab to anywhere in India next year and It was also not possible to send his family back due to some domestic reason, he decided to continue her study in Delhi where I reside. As such my brother broght his daughter Anjitha Krishnan to Delhi. Both I and my brother went to see the present Assistant Commissioner at J N U, Delhi with our grievances. That officer not hear our grievance at all and told us to go back saying that there is no provision in Kendriya Vidyalaya Organisation to give admission her from State board syllabus.

2. Then we went to the K V School Pushpvihar, Sec-III, Delhi which is very near to my residence. Whenever I went to see the Principal and Vice Principal who were available at the time of our visit, clearly refused admission saying that students come from state board could not be entertained even though they score 100 percent marks. Where as the guide lines given by KV School pushpvihar at Para No 9 and sub para No. VII (a) clearly says that “(a) children securing 80% or more marks in class-x FROM ANY RECOGNISED BOARD MAY BE ADMITTED ONLY UP TO THE CLASS STRENGTH OF 50 IN ORDER OF THEIR MERIT. THIS IMPLIES THAT NO DISCRIMINATION BE MADE AMONG DIFFERENT BOARDS AND STUDENTS PASSING FROM ALL BOARDS WILL BE TREATED AT PAR”. Guide lines given by KV School pushpvihar is also attached with this application with yellow high lighted back ground for your kind perusal.

3. Sir I take your kind attention to the K V School guide lines for Eleventh Class admission Para No.5 and sub Para No. I high lighted with yellow back ground where clearly quoted that “Fresh admission for remaining vacancies would be made in order of merit in the sequence of categories of priority on the basis of the board results of class X”. KV School guide lines attached with this application in attachment mode for your kind perusal.

4. I visited many times during the month of May and Jun at Pushpvihar K V Sschool in connection with her admission. According to KV School admission guide lines for XIth class at para No 9 and sub para –II, the admission should have been completed within 27 days after the declaration of the CBSE result of 10th class. That is also highlighted with yellow background for your kind perusal on attachment mode. But after this long elapsed the pushpvihar K V School Principal Smt Rajni Uppal has not completed admission even for KV School student so far, Where as they pasted a notice on the board that the registration for non KV students would be given after 15th June. After a few hours on the same day they removed the notice from that notice board. Thereafter whenever we approached for admission in XIth class, they told only the reply that no order has been received from Assistant Commissioner JNU New Delhi. But she has not disclosed whether the lying vacancies have been filled up or not so far. Parents of wards come there and go back without any information.

5 Sir, I have a question that “ Does our child who won more than 90% marks in each subject from Kerala Board, not eligible to get an admission in KV School inspite of a transferable Central Govt employee come under category –One? The reason for refusal of our child’s admission is that she is a non CBSE Student. Sir It can be realized that our child is an excellent student from her mark sheet. It is attached for your kind perusal., but she is found unsuitable student by Principal Smt Rajni Uppal of pushpvihar KV School and Assistant commissioner JNU, Delhi. Why Sir? Sir Cutoff mark for admission in class XIth for science stream is 55% in KV School. Is my child who secure A grade for all subject, below to the students who attained 55% marks in CBSC examination of KV School?

6. Sir K V Schools are conducted in favour of Central Govt employees especially for transferable). It is clearly says foreword in front of the guide lines. It is also a fact that the KV School available one in our district is beyond 50 Kms from our home town, so she couldn’t get a chance to study in KV s of Kerala.

7. The attitude of Pushpvihar, Sector-III, New Delhi, KV School Principal – Smt Rajni Utpal and present Assistant Commissioner of KV School, JNU, New Delhi, mentally depressed our child because in the later stage where will she get admission. As a transferable person where will I give education to my child next year..Despite a lot of KV Schools are there in Delhi, Assistant Commissioner of JNU turned his face without any leniency. Your good self is also aware that A normal Govt employee couldn’t afford the fees structure of other public and private schools. If my brother had got his daughter’s admission in KV School he colud have continued her studies in KV School where he would transfer next year. Details of the Files attached is given below:-

1) KV School guidelines, pushpvihar

2) Guide lines of KV School Organisation

3) Mark sheet of SSLC examination conducted by Kerala board.

4) Admission shedule

8. In view of above circumstances I submit my grievances to get justice to my child on time before commencing the academic session. I would request you to take action soon in this regard and intimate me in the address given below or in mail address :- [email protected]
