We had sought admission in Pinewood international school panchgani, for my son in std 8 and had registered my son admission on 10 of May, since we had to perform our religious rites, we informed the principal that my son will join the boarding school by 10 of june.
On 10 of june, we left my son at 5 pm who was very excited as he himself had selected the school by seeing the dormitory from outside, the swimming pool, and various other facilties which were shown to us,
The very next day that is 11 june when the school had gone for camping to vikramgadh natural trials, my son ran away risking his life, the principal called me at 5.30 pm informing about my son disapperance, immidiately my cousins, and my Inlaws went searching for him, and my son returned home by 11p.m we informed the principla that the child had returend safely and she in fact blamed us that we had given him 2500rs, WHICH IS A COMPLETE FALSE ALLEGATION
when my son returned we asked him, as it wa shis decison and he had selected the school by his own free will, without any coercion,
he was crying bitterly saying that neither he was provided a proper room, nor the food was good, nor he waseven given a pillow, and that the bathroom was filthy, there were no hot water gyser, and the "sample"dormitory room whihc the school had shown us, was not the same what they were providing to the children, his room mates also told him, that the gymnasium, billards, and other games facilities which were mentioned in the prospectus nothing of that sort do the school give them facilties except some times swimming, and that he want to return home, even the laundry facities were not regular, and that he will not go back,
till 15 june, no call for inquriy of the well being of the child, the reason of him running away? was asked by the principal or from the school
when on 15 june we went back to collect the belongings of my son, we spoke to the principal, that we dont want to continue our sons education in the school, and we would like to cancell our admission, we wanted to check the veracity of the thruth what my son said, but we were not allowed to check the dormitory, neither we were given the leaving certificate as the trustee /cum husband of the principal repeatdly assured us that he will give the best of the room, or even if we want we can seek admission back in mumbai, intimate them and then they will send my son leaving certificate or transferr certificate, here back in mumbai the prevous school failed to accept my child back, as we had already taken the leaving certificate from the school and I had to run from pillar to post to seek admission in some other school which was in deed a herculean task,
I had sent a letter informing again the cancellation of my son admission, and refund of fees on 3 August and the school ahd sent me a legal notice asking me to pay 43000 for the oct term, and 3000 rs for the advocate legal notice
In all this scene, right from seekng admission to pinewood, and again seeking admission here in mumbai I had suffered innumerable loss of time, money engergy, and mostly the loss of my career, i was under the impression that once my son will go to the boarding school i will concentrate more on my studies as I am a final year law student, and had to give only the last semester of my LL.B, which i was not able to give as i was busy doing prepartion for my sons boarding, the long list of things which the school had asked me to send along with my child also is wasted, and everything got backfired, I got tuants from my Inlaws, and now a pending legal battle hanging on my head...!
pinewood international school, is playing facade int he name of educational institution its my humble request to take strict action against such institution who misleads people by misrepresntation of fact, and taking law under their stride by HIGHLIGHTING THAT ALL DISPUTES WILL BE SETTLED UNDER WAI JURISDICTION
as they very well know, that its not possible to ask for refund . and go in to legal hassles!
