Lenovo 3000 Y 500
Computer getting switched off

My lenovo y500 notebook gets switched off by itself for the last 1 month or so. Another noticeable factor is that the computer gets very heated up and the battery standby has also become very poor. I really want to know what the possible problem is with the computer.
