I purchased a LG 1.5 ton window AC of LG from Reliance Mart in Faridabad on 25 April. As I was going to be out of town for some time I took delivery of the AC in mid-June and started using it thereafter.

After about a week of using the AC the cooling power failed. I called up the LG service and after a few days a person came and checked the piece. He said the AC's motor needed replacement and went back. I followed up with LG service a couple of times only to be arrogantly told that the company did not have spare motor to replace the faulty part immediately.

Till date (18 July) no one from LG has come to replace the faulty motor. And why should a new AC's motor fail so quickly and so easily? Is this the kind of service standard that one is going to get from a company that claims to comply with international standards in manufacturing and supply management?
