LPG Cylinder
Burner compulsory with New LPG connection

I had applied for new gas connection in the month of November08 & till now I have not received it. Since my family has come I have purchased a gas burner & taken a cylinder from my friend. Now I came to know that burner is compulsary with a New gas connection as per the gas agency. I just want to know that is it compulsory to take gas burner along with new LPG connection
