Dear Sir/Madam
This is to seek your active, urgent and immediate intervention to stop the plans of cutting large trees on our compound. The Managing Committee of our society has alreday cut several trees last month, one of them a very large and old flowering tree, right next to my flat. This was done in our absence.
Under the Delhi Tree Preservation Act, 1994, it is my right and duty and social responsibility to ensure for the protection of the environmnet, that full grown trees on our campus are not cut down on flimsy grounds, for reaping commercial benefits and petty conviniences.
I will wait for your urgent intervention. Trees in our housing society (Tel no: 22746770, 30223278) may be cut as early as tommorow.
in solidarity, Prof B K Mishra
