Dear Sir,

I had purchased a MARUTI Alto Lxi from Tanya – Meerut on 15-Apr. This car was bought initially with a third year Extended warranty. As I had collected my papers later, the warranty booklet was not provided at that time. Now from last two months I am badly harassed by MARUTI Dealers / Managers regarding the warranty of my car. Sir, My car is in extended warranty. As I was not aware of this thing I reached Tanya, where I met one Mr. Neeraj/Sandeep. They had provided me a duplicate warranty booklet at a cost of Rs.3200 and informed me that my extended warranty was initially of two years and has been extended to three years now. I was surprised when I had a telephonic conversation with the MARUTI warranty division; they informed that the car is purchased in 3 year extended warranty. Your people had cheated me regarding the extended warranty and when matter is opened they had returned the money saying that MARUTI has refunded the money.

My car is having the problem of High oil consumption. I am visiting and had visited many times to TANYA, RAJ SNEHA but no satisfactory answer is given. My car is serviced timely and on MARUTI authorized stations only. The problem is with forth and Fifth service which is done at Mass Code:2839. Engineers at Tanya are saying that this mass code is not a valid and has been terminated few months back. My car is serviced by them in Jul ’08 and at that time they were using MARUTI Authorized name and Mass code.

I also have a Discussion with Mass 2839 and they are saying that they hav not received any termination letter till now i.e (03 /08).

Sir, As I am putting this matter into Consumer forum, I want to know the termination date of the said mass code and a copy of notification of termination done by MARUTI in any local or national newspaper in Meerut city (if any). I got my services done thinking that it a authorized station and your people are saying that it is not a valid code.

As my car is running 20 km daily only to visit these masses, only these dealers or MARUTI will be solely responsible for any other further damage. When first time I had reached Raj Sneha regarding this matter they had taken a snap of silencer and now it is really very poor in condition (can be verifed by the photograph taken). I will blame either MARUTI for the the denial and harassment or the invalid Mass code.

Sir, here I would like to inform you that it is not the responsibility of a customer to check the validity of mass code if somebody is having all the banners saying that they are the MARUTI Authorized Service Stations. I have all the proof of them displaying themselves as a Valid MASS.

MARUTI in this case is ignoring their responsibility by simply saying that it is mere responsibility of the Customer. I want to question regarding the steps taken by MARUTI against the Mass using t MARUTI logo and name and doing invalid free and paid services.
