Sub:- Purchase of Wagon R – RJ14-CA-0740 – Defective – Reg.
Dear Sir,
This is to inform you that I have purchased 1 No. Wagon-R VXI, Manufacturing year 2005 bearing Registration No. RJ14-CA-0740 from you on dated 13.08.2008 vide delivery receipt no.430 for Rs.280000/- with 1 year warranty and 3 Free Services. We have paid Rs.8- down payment by way of cash and remaining Rs.200000/- financed by HDFC Bank. During test drive and delivery of vehicle we have observed a problem of wobbling of vehicle and the same has been informed immediately to your Mr. Rajesh Ahuja, Executive (Sales & Finance). He had convinced and promised us that you take the delivery of vehicle and drive the vehicle for 7 to 8 days and come back to us we will rectify the same and also some other minor adjustments if required immediately.
After taking the delivery, the next day i.e. on 14.08.2008 while driving we have observed that the vehicle is wobbling more and immediately we telephoned to Mr. Rajesh Ahuja at 10.30 a.m. Again he advised that this is a minor problem and no need to worry, you come after one week, we will rectify the same. Due to some emergency work I have proceeded to New Delhi and came back by 05.09.2008 and immediately telephoned to Mr. Rajesh Ahuja and informed that we will bring the vehicle on 08.09.2008 to your workshop and he agreed for the same. The vehicle has run a maximum kilometers 150 only after taking delivery.
On 08.09. we came to your office alongwith the vehicle and handedover to you for rectification of the said problem. Mr. Rajesh Ahuja told us to come on 11.09.2008 for taking of delivery of the vehicle and all the problems will be rectified by that time. We reached your office on 11.09.2008 for taking delivery of the vehicle, Mr. Rajesh Ahuja told that your vehicle is ready and we replaced clutch plates and the wobbling problem will be rectified only after replacing 4 nos. with new tyres. We argued with Mr. Rajesh Ahuja that we have taken delivery of the vehicle and run only 150 Kms. and why I should bear the cost of 4 nos. new tyres, this is your problem and you should bear the cost of the tyres and also I said until unless the problem of wobbling will not be rectified I will not take the delivery of the vehicle, after lot of discussions and argument finally Mr. Rajesh Ahuja agreed to replace the tyres and problem will be rectified. He also said that today it will not be possible to complete the vehicle and you come on 12th evening or 13th morning.
Again we came to your office on 13.09.2008 for taking delivery of the vehicle. Mr. Rajesh Ahuja spoken to their mechanic over telephone and told us that they are unable to rectify the problem of wobbling, they have changed all the four tyres, changed axle and lot of experiments they have made, still they are not able to find out that where the problem is. Seeing all these things I came to a conclusion that I have been cheated by M/s. Vipul Motors (P) Ltd.by purchasing the said vehicle. Mr. Rajesh Ahuja was not able to even convince us and talking in a manner that you have been purchased a used vehicle and these kind of problems will come.
After hearing such kind of words from a responsible executive of yours, we thought that we should meet the Senior Official so that atleast he may solve our problem and met your goodselves (Col. KYS Bairaria, General Manager). We explained each and everything right from the beginning, you have objected us and tried to convince that each and every Maruthi Wagon-R will wobble at the speed of 25 and 30 kms and also said that you are also owning a Wagon-R bearing registration no. RJ14-CA-6436 and it is also having the same problem.
After listening such kind of words from you, we were shocked and feel that what kind of vehicle are releasing by Maruti Udyog Ltd. which are having non-rectified problem forever. Being a reputed Car Company in the World nobody will expect such kind of things from Maruti Udyog Ltd.
From reliable sources we came to know that the problem of wobbling of the above said vehicle is not due to tyres or axle but it is due to chassis bend or some other major reason. Viewing all the above, we came to a conclusion that we should not take the delivery of such a damaged / accident vehicle which was sold by M/s. Vipul Motors (P) Ltd., by keeping us in dark.
Finally, we request your goodselves to return our full payment and we are not at all interested to take delivery of such vehicle. If we are not received our full payment from you within 7 days from the date of this letter, we are going to take legal action against you.
