My wife and I made a big mistake by purchasing the above laptop from Acer 5 months ago.

Within 5 months of purchasing this laptop I have experienced the following

30-mar-08

Sunday

First complaint - Card reader is not working

Complained to – dealer.

Dealer Status: we will need to replace the mother board as the card reader is not working.

02-apr-08

Wednesday -received the laptop back

Status: laptop working with card reader as well

03-apr-08

Thursday

Second complaint-Battery not detected by the mother, and after shut down the system laptop light kept on illuminating

Complained to – dealer.

Dealer Status: we will need to replace the mother board (Again!!! Wasn’t this just fixed yesterday!!!)

They told me to take the laptop home and when the part is received they will let me know.

I call to ask the status from the dealer.

Dealer: nothing yet

05-Apr-08

I call to ask the status from the dealer.

Dealer: nothing yet

07-Apr-08

I call to ask the status from the dealer.

Dealer: nothing yet

08-Apr-08

I call to ask the status from the dealer.

Dealer: the mother board has come please bring your laptop.

Main engineer Vinod fixes the replaced mother board but STILL THIS IS NOT WORKING.

CURRENT STATUS: THEY ARE ORDERING A 3RD MOTHERBOARD TO HIT AND TRY AGAIN!

ACER PLEASE NOTE:

I WAS THE ONE CALLING DAILY.

The main engineer Mr. Vinod (9818151116) he told me that I would only get a previously owned /repaired motherboard as the company does not provide new ones for such purposes.

WHY IS NOT MINE A NEW PURCHASE???

AM I NOT ENTITLED TO A NEW MOTHERBOARD. MY LAPTOP IS NEW AND WITHIN WARRANTY. I HAVE PAID HARD EARNED MONEY FOR THIS.

My concern is that if within 5 months things have started falling apart what is going to happen in the next 12 months. How much longer do I have to chase ACER to get this done. The mother board being the basis of the laptop how can I carry on within something which on being changed still does not perform.

WHAT I REQUEST, MORE CORRECTLY AS A CUSTOMER,

I DEMAND FROM YOU IS THAT I WOULD LIKE THIS

LAPTOP REPLACED ASAP

ELSE A FULL REFUND IS MADE TO ME ASAP.
