National Saving certificate
Delay in verification and payment on maturity

Dear Sir,

My relative Sh. Rajendra Prasad Singh, retired Addition District Judge had purchased three NSCs of Rs. 5000/ each with nomination of his wife Smt. Gayatri Singh. The said NSCs was to be matured in July but mean while Sh. Rajendra Prasad Singh had expired in Nov. 2007. Smt. Gayatri Singh has submitted the claim of NSCs along with the required documents and death certificate of Sh. Rajendra Prasad Singh on dated 14.05.2009 at Kachehry Post Office, Allahabad. The concerned person (Mr. Sri Ram) has informed that the verification will be done within a week and after that the payment will be made. But when contacted after a week, it was found that nothing has been done and the complete paper is lying with Mr. Sri Ram. When we requested for an early action Sri Ram has asked for Rs. 200/- for verification. I refused for the same. Then he said the action will be taken in due course and it will take time.

I request you to kindly register my complaint and take action for early redemption of NSCs.
