This is to inform you that i had purchased a NOKIA 5310 Xpress Music Handset from the Nokia Priority Dealer Outlet in Kolkata Saltlake, the address of the same being BF - 192, Sector - 1, Saltlake City, Kolkata - 700064. (Ph: 033-23210708, 9748526660). The warranty period for the Handset is over. Recently, i was facing some problems with the set as it was getting hanged. I went to the Priority Dealer Outlet on the 26th of July to show them the problem. I was told that there was a software problem in the Handset, and i would have to leave it for repairing. I was also told that my phone contact memory would get deleted. I decided to keep a back up of my contact details in the computer which was there in the outlet. Prior to taking back up of my contact details, my SIM card and the Memory Card was handed over to me. After the contacts backup was taken, i gave my Handset to the concerned person in the outlet. On the 29th of July i received a call from this outlet, where i was told that my handset was repaired and that i should collect it. On reaching the outlet, they gave me the Handset and asked for the battery so that they could check it. When i told them that the battery was never handed over to me, they started to deny the fact and kept on insisting that they had given the battery to me. I was carrying the SIM card and the Memory card as these were the only two things given to me. They are not ready to accept the fact that the battery has been misplaced by them. Had the battery been with me, i would have taken it to the outlet to get the mobile started. Without the battery, the handset becomes useless. I want a replacement battery from the outlet, but they are not ready to do so.
I would request that my complaint be dealt with utmost seriousness.
