Sub: Replacement of defective Mobile Handset
Model No. Nokia 7610 Supernova with
Nokia’s new different model.
Sir,
I have purchased brand new Nokia 7610 Supernova model from “Anupam Stationery Super Store”, Borivali (West), Mumbai on 5th April. (Receipt attached) But from the day of purchase only, I started noticing several defects of the piece.
First, I noticed the speaker’s rupturing fluctuating output, I shown it to Anupam Shop but the told me to get it repaired from “Nokia Care Service Centre”, Borivali (West). Accordingly, I went there and checked my Handset. They told me that, the piece has ringer problem and keep it with them for 1 day. Next day when I went there and collected that piece. I checked the speaker’s output, the problem was still there. When I shown that problem, they again repaired something and gave me that piece. That time the sound quality was little bit good but still I was not satisfied with the output. So, I told them that I will experience the sound output at home and if it’s not proper again I will take back to the centre. But within 2 days only another Battery Charging problem occurred. When I put the battery for charging, after 3 hours also it didn’t stop and the battery was not full charged and got down. It happened 2-3 times in a day. So, I showed this to Service Centre, they tole me to replace the battery. I got angry and told them to replace the piece since it was totally a new piece. But they said that within guarantee period any problem occurs we get repaired and once the battery will be changed there won’t be any problem. So I got the battery replacement after 20 days. When I checked it Battery full message occurred on the screen but that too after two and half hours and when I started noticing the battery was going down after half and hour only. So I read in the Nokia Manual that fully charged battery remains stable for 3 and half hours for speaking without music. But such battery didn’t last for an hour also. It needs frequent charging, in addition to this the handset gets hang-up various times. Top of that, I have 4 GB memory card inserted in it. Still, ‘less memory space or full of memory space’ message occurs and while speaking when the slide is upward I can’t even hear the opponent’s voice. When I shift the slide
down then only I can hear the voice of the opponent. The speaker’s output is also bad while listening to Radio and Music Player.
So, now you can understand how much fed-up I am? Me and my family have been using several products of Nokia company and not a single model had such defects. We were really happy and satisfied with Nokia quality that I am really surprised that Nokia can manufactured such a defective model. Therefore, I don’t want Nokia 7610 Supernova Model, instead Nokia should close manufacturing this model and save yourself from bad publicity.
Therefore, I expect that, Nokia will consider this matter seriously and change my defective model and give me different model. Otherwise such case will be forwarded in ‘Consumer Court’ through ‘Mumbai Grahak Panchayat’.
