In my mind I always had this impression about Nokia..that it is one of the best in the industry... a professional company but it got completely SHATTERED the moment I entered their service centre near Mulund Station.
I bought E51 - IMEI 358997014160274. It had a faulty keypad. The call log (green button) and "1" key does not work. I thought it will require a minor repair... and had to wait for some time with the token. Waited for about 15 mins or so since E series and N series are given first priority.
My number was called (N2 - 20 june, time - 03:32:29) - The lady gave me assurance that it will be fixed after they verify that it is under warranty period. They opened my handset and said that it is untouched and will be fixed. Now here's the interesting part...
First they opened the handset where there is rubber buttons and damaged it...
Secondly they said that right now the keypad UI's are not available and will be available within week and asked me to deposit the handset with them or take it.
Third they did not clean the display panel and in that opening process of handset invariably put dust particle which are very much visible on the handset!!
I dunno who will be reading this... but surely image of Nokia has taken a beating... should look into investing time and money in some professional service centre rather than some shady place which is always crowded. hell bent on damaging handset and reputation of the company!!
