NOKIA N-GAGE
Faulty N-Gage Replaced With A Faulty Nokia 6600

When I gave the cell for repair due to its non-functionality in March it went around all places and then after repeated visits to the Nokia Care Center, I was given my set back, which worked fine for hardly 2 or 3 days and then the same problem repeated. Then I had to bring it to the Nokia Care Center again and it was kept with you people for service. This time I was assured that you would be doing the best to resolve as the set had already been in your custody for a month (keeping in mind the warranty of the set was also running out).

After 15 days when I visited NCC (Nokia Care Center), I was told that the cell phone is un-repairable and you people will give me a replacement. I was happy to hear that and again waited for another 10 days for the replacement cell phone to arrive. After that when I came to NCC, I was told that Nokia N-Gage is no longer in production and not available in Market and they will have to replace it with a nearest similar set. I said until and unless it works fine I have no issues. I was given a Nokia 6600 as a replacement on 05/05.

While taking the set I checked the Dt of Mfg of the set which was 11, which was far far old from the set which I had which had 11. I told them that its an old refurbished set with a new case, to which the NCC people denied and said that its going to work. I had no other option but to nod my head and take that Set and use it. Just after 8-10 days of usage of the Nokia 6600, it started giving problems. The call register used vanish automatically and when some one called it used to show a blank screen with no CLIP. After loads of trial n error at home it worked and then again the same problem and this time it became worse, it used to vanish all the messages stored in inbox. Then the most strange thig happened, it deleted all the contacts from the Memory. Me being a techie, assuming it to be a Virus, I broght it to NCC again where they said that yes it was a Virus and did a complete S/W Reset. I broght back the set and started using again and 2 days was the time it wanted to work properly and started the same trouble again.

Getting no other option, I took the set again to NCC, where this time I spoke to you, and you assured that you will look into the matter and let me know. So I deposited the set back again at NCC. After waiting for 15 days when I did not get any call from You or NCC, forcibly I had to come to your office again, where I was told that the set is working fine now. But I was this time more interested to get back my Original Set or a Ngae for a Ngage to be replaced. For which again the same answer was given that its not available. But still, a gentleman, there promised me to wait for 2 days and he would arrange a (NEW) Ngage. I was patient enough again to wait for 2 days for my set. 8 days passed and there was no call from NCC to me for my set replacement.(This is the 13th Month of my set purchase, out of which I remember using the set for hardly 3 months, under warranty, rest of the days it has spent its life at NCC).

Forcibly again getting no response I ran to you people, where to my utter surprise, I was being given an old used Ngage. this was ridiculous and a big insult for me. To which I had to forcibly tell you people to keep away my set and I did not want anything from Nokia. After which I was assured of a compensation of some sort for this.

Here I stand now, after 14 months of Purchase of a Nokia N-Gage, with nothing but a Stand-By set given to me until this is figured out by you people.

This is a sincere request to not to repeat this with any other customer else they will lose hope from buying NOKIA anymore.
