My wife a Lecturer went on 18 th March evening to buy a juicer. She was shown a juicer of Orbit and conveyed a 2 year warranty which she bought for Rs 1200/-. While packing however a damaged piece was packed. When immediately contacted the shopkeeper used abusive and indecent language and refused to replace. When personally contacted on same day in the shop they abused both of us very badly alleging that it is our fault for not checking the packed item. Also it was said that the damaged part is not in warranty and threatened us with physical thrashing by all of them and also saying they have high level contacts.
Also I was abused on caste basis by saying I was a " sweeper" in hindi.
I am a CA and my wife Lecturer in degree college we didi not replace the damaged part as alleged by them.
We are surprised that such bullying is done by shopkeeper in the heart of Mumbai
We are also thretened with dangerous consequences if we take the complaint further. Please keep confidential and help at least the duping of other customers by this shopkeeper.
