Unusual delay in passport renewal

Sir,

i had applied to the passport officer, cochin for the renewal and address change of my existing passport on 17 -03 .police report was sent to the passport office cochin on 3 - 4 (as per the information from the special branch dysp office thrissur).

still my passport is not ready and the provisional date for despatch is given as 13-6. (passport enquiry status).

i urgently require my passport for applying for a visa . kindly do the needful.
