Delay in Passport

Dear Sir,

My Parents have applied for renewal of their passport on 2nd September whose details are as under

File Ref. No Name

DLH H 015633 - 08 Padmawati Daryani

DLH H 015601 - 08 Daulatram Daryani

Both of them are Senior Citizens and waiting for the passport so as to get viza and attend a marriage on 16th November. But the status after 50 days shows that these are pending in police verification.

Kindly suggest what can be done in case of so much delay in renewal of passport and that of sinior citizens?
