I had purchased a Philips hair dryer (Model HP4885/00) on 04 Dec and the product is under warranty for one year. The item was given to the authorized service center in Bangaloreon 04 Sep 09 vide work order no. 53770000026498 for a defect and even after two weeks neither the item has been repaired nor I am being informed that I should forget about it. My calls to the Philips customer care (1860-180-1111) on 15, 16 and 18 Sep 09 has fallen on the deaf ear who only apologizes for the inconvenience with an assurance that the matter will be looked into. Infact one gentleman from the customer care on 18 Sep 09 took my email-id with a promise to revert back within an hour (probably wanted to cut a joke). I am facing the inconvenience since last two weeks (and donot know for how long?). Will any compensation be paid by Philips for the customer’s inconvenience other than apologies? Any way, it is a lesson for me to think twice for buying Philips product in future. Can I expect my hair dryer from Philips.
