Deactivation of connection

On 14 Sep 09, I applied for a new air tel post paid mobile connection at Secunderabad. After submitting all the relevant documents and a security deposit of Rs 500/-, I was given the no. 9676475333. I was contacted by an air tel exec on this telephone around the 25th, i also was contacted on the alternate no. and an airtel executive also visited my residence. All the calls were acknowledged. On 02 Oct, my phone stopped working. On contacting customer care I was informed that as I had not used my phone for some time they had disconnected it and now it could be reactivated only if I visited a airtel office with ID proof. I find this situation extremely distressing and a deficiency of service. The minimal airtel should have done was to contact me before taking such a action.

Pls activate my tel at the earliest
