Rejecting Valid IMEI numbe

I have been using my Nokia 1202 for past 1 years still there were not problems with

my IMEI, but now (29-10-09) they say that i have an invalid IMEI and i have to register

it with Some Govt Agency, my question is NOKIA such a reputed company would never

have an invalid IMEI number and they support center for NOKIA says that i have a valid

one and international database http://www.numberingplans.com/? page=analysis&sub=imeinr

say that my IMEI 356393023852758 is valid! What should i do? Should i pay for the

200 bucks to register this? or is there some problem with IMEI database of Airtel?

Please help me out.
