I had purchased an Airtel mobile connection from Bangalore - mobile number 8861082923 in September in the name of my uncle Mr. G.K. Pathik and submitted all the necessary documents. On December 16, I went to Chandigarh to visit my home. During that time, my connection got de-activated. When I came back to Bangalore and checked up with Airtel about it, I was told that they had tried to reach my number for the purpose of a confirmation call for verification of my details and found the number switched off. Hence, they de-activated my number without even informing me or trying my number for a second time. I find this to be highly disgusting especially when I have submitted all the necessary documents. Now they are not ready to re-activate that connection even after I have visited the Airtel office and called their customer care center a number of times. Apart from Rs. 400 that I lost which was the balance amount in my connection, I have been facing a lot of harassment whenever I have spoken to Airtel s customer care executives.
The purpose of a complaint here is to get my money back which I have lost due to no fault of mine and also bring about a change in Airtel s policy of de-activating numbers like this.
