GPRS activation request

I recently bought a postpaid connection from Airtel (9004468882) here in Thane. Since Airtel was upgrading their systems, I was told that initially, I will be on prepaid for a couple of days and then I will be moved to postpaid. That was done on 19th Jul 09. After that I have been trying to activate GPRS by sending AGPRS to 121 and am consistently receiving message that "We are unable to process your request now. Please try again later." This after sending over 20 smses to that number at different times of the day.

If I call customer care, the IVRS goes into a loop asking me to enter my mobile number again and again in different languages and never actually reaching the service menu.

This is very painful. Request Airtel to respond ASAP.
