1.My name is Pradeep and i am residing at Thane in Mumbai. I had made a telephonic complaint bearing no. C1 685223016 with APC on 15 Jul 08 regarding the unserviceability of my APC 650 VA inverter (Model HI 800SQ, Sl No. BB 0542016673). I was promptly informed that the complaint would be attended to within 02 days.
2.Although someone from the service centre did call up and say that he would be arriving to attend to the complaint, no one turned up. I gave a call again on 30 Jul 08 when i was told that the complaint was not attended to as my address and telephone no.were wrong. This is incorrect as i had given them all my numbers and all of them continue to be current.
3. I updated my complaint on 15 Aug and 18 Aug and 20 Aug on the customer care page of apc.com/india, as the reply only stated that my complaint was being looked into. Finally on 02 Sep 08, a service engr (Mr Richard Amedas) visited me and took the inverter for repair. I was also charged Rs 250/- and told that unless that was paid my inverter would not be repaired. The site visit report mentions the tele no. of the service centre as 022-32901940.
4. When i did not receive my inverter after repairs, I made a subsequent complaint on 13 Sep 08. My inverter has not yet been returned to me. Today when i check the website and customer care i find my complaint having marked as solved. I find this ridiculous and makes me believe that i have lost my inverter and the service charges.
